Léon Orthel (4 October 1905, Roosendaal – 6 September 1985, The Hague)〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=MusicSack: Léon Orthel )〕 was a Dutch composer, pianist and teacher. In 1921 he became a student of the Royal Conservatory of The Hague. He studied violin with André Spoor,〔re André/Andreas Petrus Spoor (1867 – 1929): Concertmaster of the Amsterdam Orchestra according to Boston Symphony Program notes for 1917 – 1918 about one of his other pupils, Sylvain Noack.
